Duh.....

The U.S. education system is crap. We send kids to school for 13 years to get a well balanced education. However, what they get is scratch the surface material year after year. When a student enters college the first year is pretty much a revision of the last year in high school. Why? Why are we not getting our kids the education they need to survive in today’s world?

What will have the most impact in every person’s life from an education standpoint? If a high school senior is going to have to take calculus in college their freshman year then why do they need to take it their senior year? Why not teach them a mandatory driver’s education course that is standard across the country? Why not teach them how to manage their money, investments, insurance and taxes?

The reason our kids are not getting a serious education is because it is easier to sell fear and keep power when the public at large is stupid. Oh well, I guess I should crack open a cold one and go watch some T.V…….
